Ruffey

Ruffey Premium Air-Dried Dog Food

Ruffey is an Australian, family-run pet food business that makes air-dried dog food. The brand takes its name from Ruffey Lake Park in Doncaster, in North-eastern Melbourne, a spot known locally as a heaven for dogs. Ruffey carries that spirit of community and nature into its approach to pet wellness.

Instead of conventional high-heat-processed kibble, Ruffey air-dries its food using innovative technology that mimics the gentle air-drying power of the Outback wind. The process takes place in small batches at low temperatures, which helps preserve nutrients and flavour. The company states that at least 95% of its ingredients, including salmon and New Zealand green-lipped mussels, are sourced within Australia.

Ruffey's recipes are formulated in-house by a veterinary and PhD nutrition team. The brand mentions that its production license is granted by PRIMESAFE and PFIAA, and it operates following HACCP production standards. Recipes are also formulated to meet AAFCO nutrient standards for dogs of all life stages.
