Revolution: Monthly Parasite Control for Cats

Revolution for Cats is an easy-to-administer topical treatment that protects kittens and cats against a range of external and internal parasites. The once-a-month topical treatment is indicated to protect cats against fleas, heartworm disease, ear mites, biting lice and intestinal worms.

Suitable for use on:

Revolution for cats is suitable for cats and kittens from the age of 6 weeks and older. It is safe for use in pregnant, breeding and lactating cats.

Indications for use:

Fleas:

Kills all 3 stages of the flea life cycle, including adults, eggs, and larvae.
Treats, controls, and prevents flea infestations.
Stops the production of flea eggs.
Controls Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD).

Heartworm:

Prevents heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis.

Intestinal Worms:

Treats and controls intestinal hookworms and roundworms.

Mites, mange & Lice:

Treats biting lice.
Treats and controls ear mites.

How does it work?

Revolution contains a powerful active ingredient, selamectin. Selamectin works by disrupting the nervous system of parasites. It achieves this by interacting with chloride channels in the parasite’s nerve and muscle cells, leading to paralysis and death. It is absorbed through the skin and distributed to the bloodstream, providing both internal and external parasite control.

Directions:

Weigh your cat for accurate dosage administration.
Choose an appropriate pack based on your cat’s weight.
Press the cap down firmly to puncture the seal; listen for the click.
Remove the cap and check the tube is open.
Part the hair at the base of the neck in front of the shoulder blades until the skin is visible.
Place the tube tip on the skin and squeeze 3–4 times to empty the contents in one spot.
Drag the tube away from the liquid and lift it to remove.
Ensure the tube is empty; do not massage into the skin.
Avoid applying to damaged skin.
Do not apply to wet hair.
Bathing or shampooing the cat 2 or more hours after treatment won’t affect effectiveness.
Record the treatment date and set a reminder to apply Revolution on the same day each month.
