Halloween is a fun time of year filled with exciting costumes, bats yummy candy, and festive decorations. Kids, elder all dress up in scary costumes and go out to trick or treat and enjoy this day. What are your plans for this day? Are you planning to attend the Halloween party where your dog is also invited? If yes, that really sounds great, as it can be exciting for you, but it can be scary and confusing for your pet. Don’t worry here are some thoughts to make Halloween special, safer and less stressful for your dog and as well as you.

  • If you want to dress your dog for Halloween, ensure that clothes are safe and comfortable for your pooch. Be respectful towards him, if he is feeling upset or getting stressed, take off his clothes. Don’t make him forcefully wear the costumes.

  • To protect your dog, make sure to put on his collar and ID tag with his name and your name and phone number. If possible try to attach a microchip too, so that you can easily find him in case your pooch gets scared and runs away.

  • Don’t feed the candy to your furry pal, as it is not healthy and it can make him sick. Instead take his favourite flavoured treats along with you, so that he doesn’t eat the things which are dangerous to him.

  • Dogs will be very interested in the things like funny masks, fake hair, wax lips and many more, which can be hazardous if it gets chocked in his throat. So carry his special toys that are good for him to play.

  • Make sure that you have given the monthly preventatives to your dog to keep him safe from the pests and worms. As there will be many other pets coming in the party and it can be a place for your pet to attract predatory pests like fleas and ticks.

Witch you a happy Halloween! Hope you and your dog enjoy all the fun festivities and adventure filled with memories of love and creepiness. May the spirits and witches grant you all your wishes.
